Erica Jacobson

Since she took her Master's degree at Konstfack in Stockholm in 1999, Erica has worked as a well-established, award-winning illustrator and graphic designer. Her style is characterized by a secure, playful, tactile expression colored in bold palettes.

In Erica's work, traces of the human hand are visible; dynamic brushstrokes and lively "not perfect" lines create the personal and vivid expression that characterizes her motifs.

The visual expression also gives us a glimpse of Erica's colorful personality. Erica loves theatre, art, literature, and daring color and pattern combinations. The sources of inspiration are many; she likes to return to classic themes drawn from myth and fairy-tale worlds and is influenced by the pictorial aesthetics of 30s Vogue covers, Yves Saint Laurent's 80s collections, and favorite artists Niki de Saint Phalle, Matisse, Sonia Delaunay, and Mariana Abramovic.
